The only thing I can think of is that it may be very hard to flush out. There have been concerns about Japanese inks and alkalinity, but I'm not sure how that argument holds up in practice, up to you if you want to take that chance I guess. Personally I'm inclined to keep the nano particle and other difficult- to -flush inks in piston, converter or eyedropper fillers. It all depends on how much maintenance you want to do.

I've used Carbon Black in several inexpensive but free flowing nice writing pens. IMO it quickly becomes a hard starter and difficult to clean. Since my inexpensive pens are still in production and are excellent writers the Carbon Black will be used only in those select pens. I don't switch to other inks once I use Carbon Black.

My Parker '51s with few exceptions are daily writers. I use only easy to clean inks in them. They have already lasted a life time. With decent care they can last the rest of my life and another, maybe more.

I will use them but take care allowing pen lovers in the future to enjoy the beauty and smooth writing of these pens. Just my thoughts
