Daytone Deep Black Review

Recently I received a pack of 15 inks of different colors made in India by Daytone Industries. The bottles are 60ml plastic dropper bottles. They will be fine for an inkdropper pen, but not for piston or bladder fillers. The inks however, are good. The black is very well lubricated and a pleasure to write with. The sample below was on inexpensive memo pad paper and with a fine nib.

Hmm... I see the grey but I also see a hint of brown. No harm meant, but IMO that's no "deep black". The flow, drying time and other properties on paper look good, though.

Agree, Daytone calls this color "Deep Black". Its certainly not close to Noodler's Bulletproof Black. But its dark enough to be considered black I suppose... :-)

Good review, I hope you can do one for the other fourteen as well. We don't hear about Daytone a lot here. As for naming, I've been told that the "Dark Grey" is actually Blue-Black (can you confirm?) so I don't really have much of a problem with this being called "Deep Black".

Thank you. I do plan on it. I have already posted 2 more reviews along with this one, Bright Violet and Royal Blue.

The dark grey does have a slight blueishness to it. I have posted a review of it.
