Thanks for the help guys. It is that seller so I am avoiding buying a fake with your kind help. I had assumed people only bothered faking MBs, Viscontis etc, not Parker's.

Yay! The OP @sfbrh is back, and he DID NOT get taken in by the (very likely) Fake Sonnet Seller.

@sfbrh, we were worried the initial erroneous replies here led you off a cliff. I carry some guilt in that.

Sincerely, David

But the information must have enlightened someone.

Yes, thank you for reminding me to look for the bright side. In most cases, there is one waiting to be found...

I have some very interesting genuine sonnets from China which have truly unique solid 18k gold magnetic nibs.

Is this the type of magnet that works on gold nibs?

Oh, but your post about definition of karat, fineness of noble metals, and marking of such things isn't erroneous. That info is correct. I was going to post something along same thing, but way shorter.

Whether pen, nib, or jewelry is a forgery is related, but different matter.

You do not have a right to post. You do not have a right to a lawyer. Do you understands these rights you do not have?

Kaweco Supra (titanium B), Al-Sport (steel BB).

Parker: Sonnet (dimonite); Frontier GT; 51 (gray); Vacumatic (amber).

Pelikan: m600 (BB); Rotring ArtPen (1,9mm); Rotring Rive; Cult Pens Mini (the original silver version), Waterman Carene (ultramarine F)
