yes. I know the clip on the left is slightly twisted. It came to me that way.  I’ve decided to leave well enough alone and not risk further (likely catastrophic) damage.

Both very cool.  This weekend, I’m enjoying the BWI Pen Show.  I’ve seen lots of vintage and modern pens.  I picked up a DJ Dove Grey 51 Vac, which now completes my 51 Vac DJ collection.  It has the Sterling Silver cap.  It’s going to need a new diaphragm.  I didn’t see any of the Kullock body parts, but I did see plenty of the fancy Kullock 51 Caps — the ones with special themes — on regular 51s.

In my 51 collection are the authentic Parkers in Nassau Green (Vac) and Forest Green (Aero), plus the body parts of a Forest Green 51 Vac.  But here are photos of my Kullock 51s in Green-ish colors:

Tks. I call that my “fortress Europe invasion kit” (map, jacket, Corcoran jump boots, zippo and of course, “51” vacumatic)

you’ll have to supply your own M1 Carbine, leg bag and chute.

In another thread where I posted the three red pens in a photo, another person preferred the all-red one.  There is something more elegant about a metal cap, particularly all-gold or with gold-highlights.

 

A few months ago, I purchased Plum 51 Vacumatic parts from Kullock’s firm.  Apparently, there were instances in which Parker used Aerometric-color Lucite for a few of its 51 Vacs.  Then, I proceeded negligently to create a few big cracks at the barrel bottom in my effort to use a triangular burnishing tool to screw the inner ring a bit further down so that the blind cap would screw completely on.  I’m now much better in using that tool, which requires great care in its use (needs a small reverse turn before removing).  To repair the cracks, I used a few separate applications of super glue (epoxy), and the dried glue is quite visible on that part of the barrel.  The cracks now are sealed.  Today, I assembled a completed pen from the parts, using a Broad 14k nib.  I selected a Lustraloy cap with  gold-plated clip to go with this pen.  Here are photos of the completed pen.

That’s a good looking pen! 
i like vacs, especially double jeweled ones. 
only thing I would change is I’d like a cap with a blue diamond clip.  But that’s me.

I don’t have any extras of that cap, although I could switch that kind of cap from another 51 to this one.
