Need To Identify This Parker Pen Possibly An Appraisal

I got this pen as gift from my grandpa awhile ago when he was diagnosed with stage IV lunge cancer. He sadly passed away after a long and tough fight . I was hoping anyone here could possibly identify which Parker pen is this and how much it's worth . There are 2 pens one ballpoint and the other is a fountain pen. They are both made in France as written on them . One has the letters A I and the other has the letters A L. Apparently this means it was produced in 1982 . However I can't identify which model is it , whether it's a Parker 75 Perle or a Parker 180 Vendome perle . Any help would be appreciated! http://imgur.com/a/hbLJw

Looks like a Classic or a 180.

would agree - the slightly flared fixed blind cap at the base of the barrel is usually the give-away............ but that ringed clip screw on the cap looks very much a Parker 75 feature. Did they mix these two features on the 180 or Classic??

 

Second thoughts it does look very much like a P75 Perle ?

180.

The nib is the clue.

However, the nib on the 180 and Classic are interchangeable. So one must be careful of that.

 

The fineal (sp?) at the top of the cap is the 2nd clue.

The 180s that I have/know about/seen have a shorter fineal than the Classic.

 

But I cannot tell you the name of the finish.

The section is that of a 180/Classic.

The 75s that I have seen have a very different looking section.

it is 'finial' ac12 - sorry, I'd not looked properly at the pix of the nib.

 

the 180 has a metal overfeed with plastic underside ............ the Classic has black plastic over and under feed. would agree the section is the same on both pens.

It is the cap finials that look like P75s, and the surface finsih does look like Perle, but finials with this ringed appearance also used on P35 at about same time as P75 and Classic.

At the bottom of the webpage it shows the listings for Place Vendome 180's with the 4-ring cap and the same fancy plated finishes that were used on the 75's of that era. This particular catalog shows only gold perle and that is only on the 75, but your silver perle could have been unlisted or possibly included in the catalog that preceded this one.

 

Very distinctive nib - the first time I pulled out a 180 at a meeting at work (in the medical field) people asked me why I was wielding a #11 scalpel!
