I just got the notice from Goulet that the TWSBI Eco Summer 2017 special edition turquoise pen is in stock. I ordered both an EF and a 1.1mm. :)

Beautiful color!

Now, I have to be patient until they arrive...

Wow. The stubs are already out of stock....that didn't take long. Ordered a medium which I'll change out later.

Thanks for the heads up.

The turquoise on the eco looks far too bright, almost childish. The turquoise on the 580 Al looks much better and stylish.

Childish isn't always bad, but I prefer to think of it as a bright and happy color that lifts the spirits.

I agree with you about the 580 Turquoise. I like the looks of that pen.

Not all these pens are used by Adult Males. This is a great color of my young Neice. She's in the 8th grade and in the midst of an everything must be turquoise phase..lol..

That's interesting -- I feel almost the exact opposite. The 580 "turquoise" isn't turquoise at all. It's a very light baby blue color. While this ECO color is bright, that's what a "turquoise" stone actually looks like.

I'm a nearly 40 year old male, and I think the color is just fine. I guess different strokes for different folks.

I think I understand what you mean, but I think the colour may be a little deceptive because of the shine of the aluminium, which looks like it tones it down very slightly. I think it has a much nicer appearance, more professional maybe. I tend to prefer more muted and less bright in-your-face colours.

You got me curious anyway, so I took the image from the Goulet website of the TWSBI turquoise 580 AL and loaded it into an image manipulation app to see what it's colour is.

And it's almost pure turquoise as you can see, very slightly closer towards green than blue. The actual hue is probably almost the same on both pens.

Does anyone know of a shop that still has any of these in stock? I'd love to get one with a 1.1mm stub nib. Also interested in the pink or purple version, but those are older editions now =/

I'm looking to buy a Turquoise Eco in good condition if anyone is willing to sell one.  Not concerned about the type of nib.  I will replace it if needed from a GO.  thank you!
