Finish one of your samples or bottles. Or pick one that has the least amount left.

As usual, don't forget to share with us your choice of ink, your writing, drawing, doodling or anything with the ink in this thread. You can take a photo, make a scan, or even better, write letters and CRV reviews (what is a CRV?) and mail them to the many ink pals here. You are welcome to check back on this thread even when we've gone past this week.

Click here to read more about this community project. Links to the two previous links can be found there too.

Been meaning to use up the last of this in a Metro ever since someone posted that they'd done so and it worked well, but other inks kept getting in the way... So this week finally gives me an excuse to use this one up. Not sure I'll ever buy a bottle - I think I like Sailor Sei Boku better for a permanent blue - but we'll see.

Thanks. :) This is one of the Noodler's inks that I actually have a part bottle of. ;)

Week #31 "Be Done With It"

I must use this pen more and finish up this ink. On the other hand I quite like this one and I have no more. :(

Chrissy, congratulations on Ancient Artefact status :-)

An interesting ink - is it grey or green?

Thank you. :) It's green (well it was.) A rather nice dark green as I remember. On the other hand I have plenty of dark green inks. :D

I've finally finished a sample:

Given it was only a 1ml sample, I couldn't use a folded pen like I used to:

Nice. I like it. :)

The challenge this week is to "Be done with it!"
Veni, vidi, vici.

Edit: Yikes! Now that I've attached the image, the color is very different from the original scan.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Create a Ghostly Avatar and I'll send you a letter. Check out some Ink comparisons: The Great PPS Comparison

Don't know where to start?  Look at the Inky Topics O'day.  Then, see inks sorted by color: Blue Purple Brown Red Green Dark Green Orange Black Pinks Yellows Blue-Blacks Grey/Gray UVInks Turquoise/Teal MURKY

This is the last of my Noodler's Navajo Turquoise sample... I picked up a bottle of Caran d'ACHE Hypnotic Turquoise at the Chicago Pen Show so I won't be getting a bottle of this - they are very similar. (The C d'A has a prettier bottle!)

  • 2 weeks later...

The remains of this gifted sample of Noodler's Habanero (thank you) has sat in the drawer of shame for ages.

I've filled up my Red Noodler's Ahab with the last of it and am blown away by the line quality of the ink in this pen.

I don't ordinarily use such vivid inks. This has tickled my fancy right now. :)

I'm loving this project.
