Coolest Ink Bottles?

the old omas in glass are similar but nicer for me.

They are similar, and I have some of those. I threw out the old black ink in one of them so that I could reuse the bottle. :)

Not unique to Diamine, and were in fact used by L'Artisan Pastellier (and indeed others) long before Diamine's appropriation.

Indeed. Seems that many brands use bottles from an Italian glass company:

Diamine, LAP, De Atramentis, Montblanc...

I think I like the Montblanc Ice cube bottles the most. I just wish I could get a much larger one.

There are 50ml bottles available now.

The S T Dupont ink bottle looks cool with its squat, broad appearance; also, quite useless for filling.

I like Iroshizuku, Edelstein and Callfolio bottles the most.

  • 2 weeks later...

I like the Japanese Iroshizuku bottles, ther're neat, very well designed and practicle (you can go reach deep in the bottle in the V-shaped bottom).

But my favorite design is from Montblanc, ALTHOUGH I AM NOT A FAN OF MONTBLANC! - see: unbiased... :D

The next time the V thing in the Iroshizuku bottle is genuinely useful to me will be the first. It is too shallow for most applications. The caps are terrible, thin brittle bakelite. I have crushed 3 already. But I like the bottle aesthetically. Functionally it is good too but honestly, a bit overrated.

MB Shoe bottles (& the V bottle if only it was glass)

Omas

Lamy

Old Skrip Bottles

The new Caran D'ache bottle

Those Akkerman/Waterman/Gimborn bottles

Athena Ink (I have no idea why I like these bottles so much, they just look cool)

Waterman

Iroshizuku

Dislike: Herbin, Sailor, Pelikan ruined the Edelsiten bottles with hideous art. Edelstein logo looks cheesy.

My bottle of Platinum Carbon Black is pretty darn ingenious. Can't speak for any other bottle as this color is the only bottle of platinum I have; this one has a plastic ink miser in it, and you tip the bottle upside down for a second to fill the plastic well. Then you can fill from the well. The excess slowly drips down back into the main bottle.

Because what is more cool than a good ink in an easy-to-use bottle in large quantity at a ridiculously low price?

Shows for me, both in the original post and your reply. Here is the actual link:

Well, all of that is beyond me, and it appears to be on your end of things. However, never wanting people to be deprived :D I'll download and serve up... somehow. See if this works:

Thank you - I would never have guessed what I missed. That is cool!

I got a similar quantity of Blackstone Sydney Harbour Blue recently, 250ml in a bottle with a spout to fill eyedropper pens directly...

Let me try to show the picture.

JUST WRITE PEN CO in Australia makes & sells the Blackstone inks; I recently placed an order for just the regular sized bottles of ink, (the ones reviewed here that are scented, & different colors from their regular line, which I have enjoyed,) so I can confirm they do ship to the USA.

FYI, the ink in the above bottle of 250 ml is also available in a 1000 ml jug @ only twice the price for 4 X the quantity, if you think the 250ml, might not prove adequate!
