Elysee Art Nouveau Twin Pen Set

scanx4

Recommended Posts

I found this Pen set today, I've had it since new which would've been April 1991. I got these for my 18th birthday (feeling old!).

Would love to know more about them, The only thing I know is that the company stop trading around the year 2000.

Should I keep it, use it, or sell it!

Any help appreciated thank you

They're a German brand from the 80's. I've got one of their pens from a garage sale, and I feel that they're not high quality pens. The tip wobble is the worst I've encountered. I think they're one of those lower tier German brands.

I don't think they're worth anyhting much. I certainly wouldn't pay much for them after my experience. I'd use them if I were you and perhaps relive the feeling of being 18 again

The pattern looks quite nice, but I wish they hadn't written "Art Noveau" on it like that...

Hmm,

sounds like rush judgment based on one garage sale specimen.

All Elysee pens I have ever used (I own seven presently) are really excellent high-quality products, similar to S.T.Duponts. It is likely that selling them is not going to get you much, as few people collect these. As good writers they are perhaps best to just keep.

I have one Elysee (World), it was well done. If it wasn't a nail, I'd use it. I've missed a couple nice ones at flea markets; looking for semi-flex, passed them up....and never got back to the stand to pick one up................LOM will limit ones collection of 'odd' pens.

Easily worth collecting..........

They are good pens.

In reference to P. T. Barnum; to advise for free is foolish, ........busybodies are ill liked by both factions.

Ransom Bucket cost me many of my pictures taken by a poor camera that was finally tossed. Luckily, the Chicken Scratch pictures also vanished.
