Here is a family shot of some of my M800 obliques (except the 14C OM). I am only allowing the OB in the photo because i got a CI grind on it so now it write a bit broader then the factory OBB. (Plus i already had the picture in my archives!)

Of thes three the OB CI and the O3B are my favorites. Both give me good diagonal line variation and with excellent flow. Below is an old writing sample of the OB CI and OBB.

Great post @zaddick. I recently purchased a pelikan with a 3B nib, can't wait to try it out. Do you find much difference between the 3B and the O3B? The guy who sold me the 3B offered me an O3B as well, but I read somewhere that you don't get any additional line variation with the O3B. So I am still on the fence about whether I should get the O3B or not.

one of these days I'll break down and buy the 3776 music nib. I just can't quite justify the nearly threefold increase in price. Now a platinum president with a music nib at japan MSRP... I'd buy that.

Selling a boatload of restored, fairly rare, vintage Japanese gold nib pens, click here to see (more added as I finish restoring them)

@tartuffo

Lovely pics and the sheen with the music nib is great. :thumbup:

A new nib went into the mix today. A Sequel from Regalia Writing Labs.

Wow, Tartuffo, the Pelikan and Pilot nibs are gorgeous. Also the italic hand.

I, who have been using F and EF nibs for all my life, just ordered a Platinum Trim 149 with a Broad nib. After testing some Bs, BBs and OBs in the local Montblanc Boutique, then reading a lot about their stubby character, knew I had to have one. So can't wait to officially join the club, hopefully next week! Thank you all for the inspiration! :)

Fun to write with.

OOOOH....

Mine are mostly mediums. The new to me grey one (my splurge purchase at OPS this year) is an F. How about a writing sample? (of course just seeing the photo was already rubbing it in... :wallbash:).
