Realising that I have a sparkles addiction. Though the Stresemann only ever has Diamine Moon Dust in.

M815 Metal Stripes with fine nib, inked with Nick Stewart's Randall Blue Black.

Hard to imagine a more elegant combination of pen and ink, fit for any corporate, educational, or charitable Board of Directors meeting.

Rationalizing pen and ink purchases since 1967.

To my predictable regulars, I added my black M800, with Pendleton Brown B CI, filled with Diamine November Rain. Ordering this Germany exclusive was a challenge. Writing with it is not. The tiny necked 30 ml bottle is a challenge. Deciding to order a 90 ml bottle from Germany is not.

Courtesy of last night's Pelikan Hub Edelstein ink samples, Topaz in my blue M800 with IB nib, Sapphire in the M805 Ocean Swirl with B nib, and Amethyst in my red M800 with F nib. I was carrying my blue Watermans Edson with factory stub nib preloaded with the Aquamarine.

That's my daily user rotation sorted out for a month or three!

Glenn.

Oops, 5 months not 3; Topaz is about to run out in the last of the M800s I filled at the hub. Obviously I don't make enough excuses to write.

I'll have to start using my own ink again!!

Glenn.

Just a little ink replacement...

M620 Berlin now has a Broad nib (changed from OB) and Parker Penman Emerald in it, and it's a great match for the pen.

M400 Tortoise M now has Diamine Ancient Copper in it, and this is a lovely ink color for this pen.

Could there be any problem with staining this pen with Ancient Copper? I just got a white tortoise M400 M and I’ve considered filling it with that same ink but’ve been skittish. I love the pen and the ink but afraid to combine them.

Mine is a "regular" brown tortoise, and so the only place that might stain is the inside of the barrel, and that is amber already. Ancient Copper is a red-brown like this pen's usual fill of Waterman Absolute Brown (aka Havana Brown), so it's not too much of a change.

My M605 has Sailor Souten, and I love it. However, as soon as my Diamine Skull and Roses arrives, the Souten will come out. I expect Skull and Roses to be as good as November Rain.

I have bought numerous inks, but continue using many of the same ones. My M605, with Pendleton Brown M CI, is filled with Kon-Peki. My 100, with EF, still has Diamine Blood Orange. I love this ink, but so far, only in this pen. My 400NN, with KEF, is filled with Herbin Bleu des Profondeurs. My M800, with PB B CI, is filled with Diamine November Rain. I tried Diamine Skull and Roses, but the nib dried out nearly every time I paused writing.

Flexy M101N red tortoise + Herbin Vert Empire. Decided I’m not crazy about that ink from this pen. Unsure what to fill with next—Lie de Thé, Vert de Gris, or Papier Plume Oyster Grey.

My M600 (old style) is filled with blue Parker Quinck. My Pelikan 140 is filled with the same ink.

I've got two bottles of Edelstein ink (Saphire and Aquamarine) that I will try out once both pens are empty

M910 old style with a new all-rhodium-plated BB nib and vintage Sheaffer Peacock Blue ink. It's not too bad, but this nib might need some work done to get it the way I want it.

The tipping on this nib is a big ball (it almost should have been stamped KBB from the factory), which is great for the "push strokes" with my left-handed overwriting, but it has no variation between horizontal and vertical strokes whatsoever.

"... which is great for the "push strokes" with my left handed overwriting, ..."

I can relate; finding that sweet spot for us lefty overwriters is always a challenge, .... and almost always, exasperating. AND a fantastic experience when the nib specialist hits the spot.

I have a Deccan Advocate eyedropper threaded for M800 nib units with an old 14k B nib screwed in. This one has been inked for a while because it holds so much ink. I have it filled with the old iron gall MB schwartzblau.
