Today, besides the vintage 400, I've got the M405 Striated Blue (EF nib) back in rotation, with Edelstein Tanzanite in it.

I refilled my 1933 100 with Diamine Blood Orange. This pen and ink are dynamic together. The first two pens I tried with this ink were not great, but I liked the ink as it appeared in a couple of reviews. This 100 is always superb, so I tried Blood Orange in it. Spectacular. There is so much vivid color, so much shading, and line variation, the writing seems almost alive.

I'd love to see an example of blood orange, any pics possible?

I'm currently rocking the awesome new M120 Blue M nib with a fill of Levenger's Cobalt Blue! The combination of the two seem to be a perfect match for each other. It has become my "go to" pen. For me, this is an anomaly as I have not always been very fond of blue pens or for that matter blue ink. The last blue ink I was fond of was the Parker Penman Sapphire Blue that has been long absent from my ink "cabinet." I have almost always been a green ink fan which fit in with the fact that I have loved Pelikan pens in the traditional green strips.

You have exposed my innate laziness. I tried to upload a photograph once long ago and grew frustrated. I believe my photo was too large. This pen/ink combination is too good not to try again.

Currently inked Pelikans + due to the popular demand just added Diamine Blood Orange, stock M400 nibs, F and M.

This Fabriano paper is slightly too absorbent to show the full shading of Blood Orange - but shading is definitively there.

Ranga Majestic - Jowo 1.1 stub - J Herbin Rouge Opera cartridge

Blackstone Maxim - Jowo fine - Diamine Green-Black

Jinhao x450 - Goulet 1.1 stub - Pelikan Edelstein Aventurine (the x450 fits the long cartridge nicely)

Jinhao x750 - medium - J Herbin Orange Indien cartridge

J Herbin inkroller - Visconti Black cartridge

The Aventurine looks much lighter in a stub than in a narrow pen.

My Iconic Blue Pelikan 120 and my old Pelikan 100 CN nib are all the pens I have inked at this time. I will clean/flush the 120 before I leave Friday. I am only taking my Chartes Blue Platinum 3776 Century and some carts in blue-black and black for the trip

I have a mixed assortment of pens inked today, and yes the Pelikan M200 is a Smoky Quartz.

Just inked my 1933 Pelikan 100 with Diamine Blood Orange for the third time. Wrote with this combination all afternoon yesterday. I used Clairefontaine paper and it looked great. I've already tried photographing it on Franklin Christoph paper. It came out extremely dull in the photo. On heavy bright white copy paper it appeared very thin, while it actually looks bright, with superb shading.

DrCodfish, I will get a good photo of this favorite of mine.

Got to flush my Platinum 3776 after removing cartridge. Just basic stuff to do before jetting Home. Did not see one person using a fountain pen here in England, Scotland or Wales during the two weeks we have been here
