I filled the M250 Levenger with Kana-cho because the clip broke on the JIF I was using it in. :(

Flow is adequate - not a lot of sheen but the blue is a bit more pronounced - but the nib's a bit scratchy.

It's hard work to tell which is Old Harry when everybody's got boots on.

That ink is lovely! Nice pen too! :)

Thank you! Thats actually Lake of Fire, my mistake. River of Fire is green with red sheen. Robert Oster has a few fire and ice themed inks. They are all very good.

  • 2 weeks later...

I have three Pelikans, but only two of them are currently inked:

M605 Marine Blue - Pilot Iroshizuku Shin-Kai

M620 Grand Place - Diamine Brandy Dazzle

I'm trying to finish my bottle of Shin-Kai so the Marine Blue will be inked until then (probably another couple of years at the rate I'm going since I can't just write with one pen :D ). Still trying to find the perfect match for my Grand Place, but I was surprised at how much I like the combo so until I get tired of Brandy Dazzle, I'm sticking with it.

:yikes:

That's ... a lot of pens! I stress out when I have 5 pens inked ... though since this week is Pelikan Hub it makes a certain amount of sense. Still would stress me out though.

I started an ink/pen/nib log.

Thank you so much for posting the images of your pen, ink, and nib log.

It's gorgeous! The organization and visual flow is eye-pleasing.

Such beautiful ink choices, too.

At the moment I only have one bird inked up -- the 80s era Pelikano is currently running Noodler's Boston Brahmin Eye of the Porbeagle, the LE swag ink from last weekend's Commonwealth Pen Show. But since the Pittsburgh Pelikan Hub is tomorrow night, I'm sure that number of birds in rotation will increase exponentially -- especially since the M405 Stresemann with the B nib hasn't seen much use recently....

Very nice! :puddle:

I should look for a 450. I should your pic to my Sweetie and she pointed that out first. ;) And such a nice nib on yours!

Thank you, Daenghafez.

The M815 and the M1005 Stresemann are amongst my favorites!

Thank you, Bill.

Hey, now it seems that you already have the boss' authorization to get that M450, what's stopping you? :lticaptd:

The M450 is, indeed a really nice pen. There is something about those vermeil caps that makes them special.

Hmmm. The boss liked the 450, but she has also seen a Blue Dunes and a couple of MBs fished out of the 'bay recently. I may have to lay low awhile, and then see if I can find one between release of the M800 Brown and the Black Friday madness ;)
