Ink To Match Pilot 78G In Teal

Recommended Posts

Earlier today I ordered a Pilot 78G in Teal and would like an ink to match. It's the broad (actually italic) nib so something with a bit of shading would be great.

New pen happy dance in Western Australia. :)

Will work for pens...

Easy - Sailor Yama-dori. Dirt cheap, INSANELY good manners on every single paper, down to the cheapest of cheap, and on good paper it has this ludicrous red sheen.

I've got Herbin 1670 Emerald of Chivor in mine. Not shady, but sparkly. B)

This one is also beautiful, indeed.

THANKYOU!!! I have just put in an order for the Sailor Yama-dori. All of the recommendations were very much appreciated and made the choosing between shady and sparkly difficult fun... (I do have Petrol already so it will get a go in rotation with the Yama-Dori - especially as my ink order will take about 5 weeks and the pen might be here in three and having made up my mind that I needed to order an ink I just couldn't bring myself to go with something I already have. Shhh...)

I expect I will give in to the sparkly Emerald of Chivor before long because um.. a pen needs a change after each cleaning.

Is there an Inks-Anonymous yet? :D

I definitely recommend Emerald of Chivor. And if you don't want a lot of the sparklies, don't shake the bottle and let them sit at the bottom. The ink itself —all by itself— is one of the most beautiful, rich colors I've ever seen, and the sheen and shading are phenomenal.
