Where To Buy Blackbird Fountain Pen?

Recommended Posts

The only British pens that I have collected so far are Parker Maxima's. I have never had a Swan or Blackbird pens. I was told by a colleague that Blackbird pens are less expensive British made pens as compared to their Swan counterparts. Where can I buy a Blackbird pen at a reasonable price? I am not speaking about the eBay but I would like to know if there is a reliable pen dealer here or in the UK who can ship the pen that is restored and ready to write? Thank you.

Go to the PPPC meeting Saturday July 29. This time the meeting will be held at the North Berkeley Library. A number of dealers attend and will have some Swans and Blackbird. You can talk to John Strother directly to see what he has. Dayne Nix, if he comes, will also have some for sale.

Otherwise, attend the SF Pen Show August 25th through August 27.

Check with Farmboy to see whether he or Doug have any at this time. If so, then just let him know and come to a Pen Posse meeting.

Quote ........"The only British pens that I have collected so far are Parker Maxima's" - that's interesting. This aerometric Duofold was the largest in that group of f.ps. - they are very impressive in size. and not that common now, but you have good taste, of course. :)

While the Blackbird was a lower grade than the Swan they are rarer, so there is not likely to be much of a price differential between the two.
