Parker Vector F

So I ordered Parker Vector, not because I was expecting it to be any good, on the contrary, I hoped it to be at least meh so I can work on my nib adjusting skills.

So it was and so I did. After going through few different micro mesh nail files it became a fairly sexy writing thing - very defined lines, definitely thinner than medium, not too wet but far from dry (Souten shades nicely), and most of all it's really quite smooth with less feedback.

In the end it's too small and thin to be comfortable for me so I'll be giving it away :)

Apologies for super bad quality photo

sorry, doesn't do it for me - perhaps the pen deserves a better 'hand' :D some writing might be sexy - but can't think off hand which ones.

the Vector is perhaps a tad thin for some folk - but that ridge where he barrel ends and section begins does feel sharp and could be uncomfortable when used for prolonged writing - suppose you could sand it down a little or put a sticking plaster over it for more comfort.

I'll admit that I *love* my Vectors -- a Vector was my first "good" pen (after a couple of Parker Reflexes where the rubber disintegrated off the section). But I have small hands.

Although I can see that it would not be a good pen for prolonged writing sessions -- I can't imagine anyone writing the Great American Novel with one, because Vectors admittedly are skinny pens.

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

Oh I know my style is awful, I can only ever do fast - it will go to my GF who has much smaller hands and very nice writing style ;)
