Looking For Info On A Pilot Pen

Just comparing, the step is a little lower than on Elite 95s when capped. Nice pen though. I suppose materials used are the same except that Elite's is coated. Them thin metal is quite sturdy. I also have a lower version of Elite that I bought used from fleamart, the black coating held well, being a little worn at the very top edge. These pens dont need babying while serving their years of expected life in use.

Saw your message too late, ordered a CON-20. Still waiting for it to arrive.

The pen is here though and it's gorgeous. Arrived in a great state as advertised by the seller. Since the converter hasn't arrived yet, i first used the ink cartridge that came with the pen. Lots of heart ache with that one. The pen wrote very dry and suffered from a very bad case of hard starting. I eventually washed it thoroughly and refilled the cartridge with a Pelican ink i got from a coworker. All the issues seem to be gone now. I ordered a bottle of Noodler's black.

I never thought of an ink cartridge going bad. Could it be the case with the old one i got with the pen?

That's a really nice looking pen. I hope it writes well with the converter when you receive it. :)

There is almost no wear marks in the section, except near the nib where it touches the cap. I hope that the pen will hold out for some time, I am not planning to abuse it. 95% of my work is done on the PC, the pen is just for note taking when speaking to my boss :-)

Thanks. The converter is still in the mail somewhere on its way from China.

Ah, :) Well I hope that when you receive it, your pen writes nicely with it. Until then, at least you can refill a cartridge. :)
