Trying scanbot to take a picture with my phone and upload it, not crazy about the result... will keep trying to get the wifi capable scanner to work from my desktop (instead of having to walk over to the other computer on the network and scan the picture from there...)

a fountain pen is physics in action... Proud member of the SuperPinks

No sign of sheen on this one. (Using my Nemosine Singularity 0.6mm stub again.)

Excited to ink one up for the first time this week that is already familiar to many FPNers.

The ink or the joke?

Well, both, but I've been sharing the joke and laughing myself silly.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Oh! You are so right! This looks indeed boring. - I am sorry to say thank! - But Pelikan 4001 Royal Blue can be a sort of a revelation in certain pens.

I'm starting to discover that. I tried it early on and thought it was a little too purply for me. But I had a pen repaired last weekend (a Laidtone Duofold fitted with a Sheaffer #3 nib on it when I bought it), and it got tested with that ink. And either my tastes have changed or the combo is better than what I tried before -- and it's... not too bad....

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

Jep! I have a small no-name vintage vest pocket pen which makes a majestic dark blue out of this ink! I love it! Both the tiny pen and Königsblau. But in my Kaweco Sports it is extremely average and boring...

I agree with you but this is the ink my husband prefers to use and he is welcome to it. ;) Did anyone say that Auditors are boring?

And it does take a touch of special handling. Love that ink.

Am late to the party, and just read Ian's Macdonald quarter pounder joke. Still laughing.
