Geha Schulfuller ... Cart Size?

Does anyone know what size/standard/name of cartridge fits the Geha Schulfuller that was such a competitor against the Pelikano? Or what convertor?

I have one from the early sixties set up as an ED (works well so far), but I doubt if they were meant to be used this way. I've tried Pelikan shorts and int'l shorts and a selection of convertors with no luck. There is a cart puncturer in the nib and a molded hollow plastic holder in the cap.

I want to show that moment in time when Geha and Pelikan were both vieing for the school pen market. Before Pelikan bought Geha. I have some ads and merchandising to display for that "moment".

I have a vague recollection that either Platinum or Pilot cartridges fit the Geha. Don't hold me to that though as my memory is pretty much rubbish these days :-/

Geha had proprietary cartridges. No other cartridges fit exactly. If you can get hands on "Herlitz Universalpatronen" on German Ebay you should try these, because they fit really good. The best way is to look for old original cartridges and refill them, but beware: Pelikan later has issued some Geha labelled cartridges, too, but they don't fit really into the vintage pens. If you are lucky maybe some older Lamy or Parker might also fit - but that's trial and error.

I still remember the Geha and Pelikan "wars" on the schoolyard...

Greetings,

Michael

Thank you migo984 and mirosc for the news that finding a cart that fits the Geha Schulfuller may be difficult. I shall check out the Herlitz Universalpatronen on Ebay.de.

These may fit in later models. Pelikan bought Geha and changed to standard cartridges.

My guess is, you are looking for these:

Yes. I'll find out if they will work when when they are delivered. Watch this space!

And they do! I don't know which carts use the little red plastic piece, but the carts as-delivered work in my schulfuller, I've turned the nib so you can see the little slide to get the extra ink spurt.
