OH MY, yours looks so much better than it did for me.

I still have to scan my results.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Create a Ghostly Avatar and I'll send you a letter. Check out some Ink comparisons: The Great PPS Comparison

Don't know where to start?  Look at the Inky Topics O'day.  Then, see inks sorted by color: Blue Purple Brown Red Green Dark Green Orange Black Pinks Yellows Blue-Blacks Grey/Gray UVInks Turquoise/Teal MURKY

Since it has gotten warm here, even I have had enough of it in FPs. It dried up good an tight in my usually unflappable E95S so I cleaned it out thoroughly and am just dipping a Nikko G nib from an oblique holder.

I work in a kitchen, and like to use inks that don't run at all when wet. I only have 3 of those at the moment, De Atramentis Document Fog Grey and Fuchsia, and R&K Dokumentus Magenta (ok, I'm doing this from memory, and have had a glass of wine and am old, so forgive me if these names are a bit wrong, they sound about right though). I have a few other partly-waterproof inks (IG, Noodlers) but they all lose some of their pigment.

OK, I have just finished a fill of the Fuchsia, so I've gone with Fog Grey.

It's a pretty colour, quite blue.

This is after a soak in a bowl of water. No colour loss at all.

And just for fun, here it is after a rubdown with some bleach. The colour has certainly faded, but still very clear.

It's not a wildly exciting colour, but the waterproofocity is superb.

Wow! That's a beautiful color! I adore blue blacks. I didn't expect that from a color called Fog Grey.

How "safe" are the document inks?

Firstly, thanks Liz B for the pictures of De Atramentis Document Fog Grey, I really NEED some of that ink.

I am still playing catch up, and here is my entry for Week 22. Reading the posts has been illuminating as I now know that I have quite a few waterproof/water resistant inks. (The Pilot Blue Black ink is in a Pilot Elite 95S not a Pilot Elite 5 as written. )

And after soaking part of the page in a container of water:

I enjoyed this sub aquatic round up. I also like Noodler's-Bad Belted Kingfisher and agree with you. I also have Bad Black Moccasin, and Zhivago. Another one I have is Sailor-Kiwa guro. I haven't been keeping up with these types of threads in order to do one in time. I read that Aurora-Blue black has some water resistance but I haven't tested it. I recently tried Noodler's-Green Marine, and it is water resistant I believe. I like the color and behavior of it too.

I prefer water resistant inks, but most of the colors I have are not resistant whatsoever, which annoys me.

OOOOOOO I love the flip flops!

I love them too -- AND the color. I really need to try this one even though I've been kinda underwhelmed by the other inks in the line that I've tried because of the spread and bleedthrough at times.

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

I knew I liked this sample Lgsotek (THANK YOU) so kindly sent from having written only just a few lines with it. Now that I've sketched with it I'm besotted !

I first drew the outlines then used a water brush to wash over the lines. Initially to simply illustrate how waterproof it is but then I gently dipped the brush into the vial gently adding colour to the lines. An almost milky quality came over the sketch whilst hardly disturbing the lines below.

For lovers of murky greens, this is a must have and for me will be the replacement for the sadly extinct KWZ Pea Green.
