History Of Aurora

A pleasant article about the company's history, by an Italian woman who grew up writing with an Auretta when she was in school, but didn't become aware that it was manufactured by a really outstanding company, Aurora, until later in her life.

On the bittersweet side, for me, she tells us Mr. Levi named the company Aurora after a Russian ship that helped kick off the October Revolution, in 1917 (I'd always thought Aurora was a new dawn after World War I) and then somewhat changed his political position to become a Fascist senator, accepting a sort of honorary Aryanization so that he and his family would not suffer the same difficulties as their fellow Jews. I live and learn.

Modify the link by deleting the last %etc characters so it finishes at "pen". Then it works.

Really interesting article. I knew very little about Aurora before but this provides a hint of a colorful and important history among Italian pen manufacturers. One good friend of mine from Rome and a very good old family, spoke of Aurora in the same serious acknowledgement of quality that the childhood reflections in this article retell.
