May I please ask what's the ink in the image above, showing the 90th Anniversary Skeleton in gorgeous detail?

It wouldn't happen to be Miles Davis Jazz Blue, would it?

Or maybe Diamine China Blue?

I'm inexperienced with identifying such fine inks.

That's the sort of paler blue which appeals to the watercolor-loving side of my personality.

In any case count me as one who loves the image.

Looking at it inspires ideas for future pen and ink photos.

You've posted one of the most compelling pen, nib and handwriting images I've seen in 2017.

Thank you for such fine encouragement to dubhe.

Tom K.

Thanks Tom Kellie! I have learned from the best (hint hint)

The ink is in fact Miles Davis with my tweaked O3B. Speaking of China Blue (since I was fortunate to test it based on your recommendation and gotten to like it a lot) I have come recently to verify that Paker Quink Washable Blue is a close match

Thanks, I do have 90th and enjoying writing With it on smooth and wet medium nib. Previously, I was attracted to Blue Hour but due to the thick wireframe covering the barrel, it doesnt look as Skeleton as I hoped to be.

I appreciate the suggestion, I will make a decision soon. The blue tint is too intense for my liking. There are other pens that I have to choose from also: The partial skeletonized great character and Latest PoA 888. Both are very nice.

Do you think the UNICEF Skeleton would be a better buy than the little prince lower limited edition and 2017 PoA?

If it's your 1st or only Skeleton, I would pick 90th because it's a gorgeous neutral color and as you said very transparent. For a 2nd acquisition I would consider one of the blue glass pens- probably the UNICEF I like more

The UNICEF is priced very close to the Borghese 888 and despite loving the design of the latter, I would feel more comfortable with the Skeleton and believe I would on the long run like it more.

Hello OngL,

This is appealing as this is the first and only partially skeletonized pen at 4000 USD range. Usually Skeleton or partial Skeleton is the below 50 limitation edition of pen such as JFK etc

OK I see :) I didn't think to it as in the writer editions. Indeed it is a really nice pen I own and I really enjoy it and the M nib of mine writes so nicely, a real pleasure to use it and indeed the cap is remembering a little the cap of the JFK skeleton 83. It is one of very limited pen I would like to own if I could buy it to complete my collection of MB JFK :)

If you need you can see some other picture of the Saint-Ex in my Flickr gallery.
