Yesterday, I went to a Montblanc store here (we have two boutiques here in Curitiba), and I saw the new collection of Unicef. The "bottom line" which is the regular Le Grand and Classique collections, seems to me very equal to the previous edition. But the solitaire doué looks amazing. The solitaire Le Grand is gorgeous! Keep pushing!

Wonderful - congratulations :)

The detail work on the nib looks gorgeous - such dainty gold characters!

Love seeing those nibs in action. I think the Unicef and the Leonardo are my favorites.

Yes Leonardo is really special and nice, the skeleton version of it in the version 74 is even more beautiful but not at all in the same budget :)

I have been considering this pen for a while now. I wonder how do you consider this compared to the previous special edition skeleton e.g. 90th Anniversary, Blue hour. The price is significantly higher, the barrel isnt as transparent as the 90th, and the character design is either love or not.

Between 90th and Bluhour, I chose 90th. I wonder if this would be placed higher than 90th and/or bluehour. Thoughts?

If it's your 1st or only Skeleton, I would pick 90th because it's a gorgeous neutral color and as you said very transparent. For a 2nd acquisition I would consider one of the blue glass pens- probably the UNICEF I like more

The 90th is my grail pen, and in a few years I might be able to afford one. Here's hoping for some new ones still being available somewhere.

It is a matter of taste because I'm not so much attracted by the 90th Anniversary or Blue hour skeletons and prefer the UNICEF. And between 90th and Blue hour if I had to do a choice I think I'd chose the Blue hour :) Fortunately there is enough choices and models to satisfy everyone and bring so much pleasure to use these precious :D

May I please ask what's the ink in the image above, showing the 90th Anniversary Skeleton in gorgeous detail?

It wouldn't happen to be Miles Davis Jazz Blue, would it?

Or maybe Diamine China Blue?

I'm inexperienced with identifying such fine inks.

That's the sort of paler blue which appeals to the watercolor-loving side of my personality.

In any case count me as one who loves the image.

Looking at it inspires ideas for future pen and ink photos.

You've posted one of the most compelling pen, nib and handwriting images I've seen in 2017.

Thank you for such fine encouragement to dubhe.
