Looks very similar to Cult Pens Deep Dark Brown.

 

Quick and dirty dip pen comparison - Espresso similar to DDB, but with slight greener/cooler tones.

 

Cult Pens Deep Dark Brown is an ink I don't have. ......I know it doesn't seem possible.

Hmmm. Looks a little redder than Smoky Quartz -- but I guess I'll have to sample it and see before making a final decision.

Inkstainedruth, it's not got a lot of red in it, compared to say Diamine Chocolate Brown. Smoky Quartz has more yellow. But they are generally close in colour. I'll ink up some pens properly at the weekend and see if that gives any better results.
