Thank you. I wasn't sure whether this was interesting enough from the early samples, but I think it looks nicely restrained without being dull. Another for the'might buy' list.

Thank you for another insightful & thorough review; I was content with the swab you initially shared for both this & Honey. I just want them MORE, after seeing these reviews!

You're welcome :) At first sight I thought it would be almost the same as Macassar, but it isn't. It leans less red. It matches it's name well ;)

Is there a slight 'greenish' sheen or am I seeing things?

I agree, it seems to have a green or green-gold element.

Yes I agree there seems to be a greenish-gold sheen especially on the spread out blot (top right).

I'd like to see what this one looks like compared to various other sepia-toned browns, especially my vintage Skrip Brown (red box) because the bottle leaked and I lost a lot of it. I've been trying to find a close replacement. So I've been on a sepia/brown kick recently.

Thanks for the review. I had this one with a question mark on my "to buy soon" spreadsheet -- clearly I will now have to *remove* the question mark, at least as far as getting a sample when available....

I just popped into this review thread to say that these inks have now been issued and are readily available from Diamine and other retailers. :)

This one looks nice, I think I'll have to buy a bottle whenever they start selling these.

I hope it's now available wherever you live,

Thanks, Chrissy, for your review! It seems to be really a nice brown especially with the tiny green note.

I just noticed that Vanness has the whole set.

Looks very similar to Cult Pens Deep Dark Brown.

Quick and dirty dip pen comparison - Espresso similar to DDB, but with slight greener/cooler tones.
