Most of these are made out of wood or natural horn

I am not familiar with Grifos but they are nice pens!

They are made out of natural material and they are reasonable in price?

That sounds like a a bargain :)

My favorite brown pen is this ST Dupont Classique. Nobody does lacquer better than Dupont. It feels amazing. The pen writes very well, too.

One of my all-time favorites in brown is the Sailor Kabazaiku, which is a pen covered in cherry bark. And Sailor, a Japanese brand, is known for its great nibs.

Using right now:

Jinhao 9019 "EF" nib running Birmingham Railroad Spike

Leonardo Officina Italiana Mosaico Anemone "F" nib running Diamine Autumn Oak

Pineider Tempi Moderni "EF" nib running Montblanc Racing Green

Stipula Suprema Foglio d'Oro "M" nib running Van Dieman's Royal Starfish

wooden pens are so great.

I haven't looked Kabazaiku pen thought. I need to check it out.

Is there any reason or preference over other pens such as Pilot or Hirai?

Oh Amber. There is an Italix Parsons Essential in Amber that I have my eye on. I don't have the Karas fountain pen yet, so I can't speak to the weight. I have a Levenger L-Tech 3.0 that is in the heavy side. The bronze version is on sale for $49.99.

Take a look at the Diplomat Excellence Marrakech.

+1

I have one and love the color and pattern of the Marrakesh and like all Diplomat products, low key, no glitz, a good performer and a good EDC

Glad to give it a shoutout

Yes this pen is nice!

I have yet to find a shop that carries this pen, but I see good reviews and the size seems perfect to me also :)

If you're a fan of brown pens and wood, the Montblanc Masters for Meisterstuck L'Aubrac Special Edition is a beautiful pen. I don't have any pictures of mine on hand, but attached are some stock images. The grain is stunning and it feels excellent in the hand, based off the 146. It's certainly on the pricier side, but a terrific example to write with.http://www.montblanc.com/content/dam/mtb/assets/discover/limited-editions/artisan/laubrac/laubrac-product.png

Kaweco made an amber-colored demonstrator, the Sport Cognac, sadly no longer available.

It's hard work to tell which is Old Harry when everybody's got boots on.

When I bought mine, I believe (if I remember correctly, & if not someone will assuredly correct me) it was made exclusively for Seitz Kreuznach, the German company that sells a lot of Kaweco products. (I bought my first Kaweco Sport pen from them on Amazon; they also sell on Ebay & from their own site.) It must just be something they occasionally do, because I have purchased the dark brown Sport, Espresso, from Cult Pens, UK & the Orange Sport they are selling this summer, made & retailled exclusively for the Spanish market.

Dark brown and Espresso sound great too :)

Are they selling these colors somewhere this Summer, or it's just the orange one they are selling this Summer?

No, I am afraid the "ship has sailed" for the Espresso Brown from Cult Pens & the amber demonstrator from SK; the Orange Sklyline ("Sports," have gold trim & the Skylines, have silver instead, but otherwise the same pen) is still listed on Ebay, (a 28 day listing) from SELLER: Estilmania & is item # 332264046160 & is titled: Pluma Estilografica Skyline Naranja, Orangine Fountain pen, with 15 pens left. You have the ability to receive the nib of your choice with this listing. I bought one from another Spanish Seller, a Brick & Mortar Store, after they sold out, I bought a second one from this Seller's listing , for a gift. They are considerably higher than the other Sports, but I like ORANGE!

You might also like the Kaweco ART Sports, they are reputedly made of resin, instead of plastic & hence start @ higher prices. I coveted the Amber, which was really more of a Tortoise & unfortunately it was already discontinued, when I was aware of it. BUT, I found one for sale in the Netherlands, maybe two years later, that was previously owned by a pretty reliable Seller & was able to purchase it. My point is not to head you in THAT, another direction, but simply to say, just because things are "sold out," does NOT mean, "they don't sometimes turn up." (WHO KNOWS? I could perhaps lose my hand, (which has been closer to the truth than I like to acknowledge, due to cat bites, TWICE, each hand respectively!) & have no further need of MY Sports. I would gladly send them along, if that happens! I surely haven't needed more than ONE of them, but I really like them & IF. they make a Copper Sport, I will be ordering one, despite having given the Brass one away. (AND, YES, I still rescue Feral cats, sterlise & relocate them whenever they "cross my path, garden, or street.")
