I was looking to see what rules you had run afoul of and I'm glad to see that the answer is none. The pens are stunning. Thank you for sharing them with us.

Great! Good to see the mods on the case :)

Thanks to you for your reply. I am pleased you like the pens. That material is one of the Conway Stewart materials 'Heather'. The Conway Stewart materials are really spectacular. It will be a sad day when the supplies of liquidated stocks become unavailable.

I have managed to purchase a modest supply... certainly, enough to keep me busy for a while... :)

Wow! You are really going for it!

I agree that the CS materials are (on the whole) very pleasing on the eye. That heather is certainly a good representation.

About four years ago, I started to collect fountain pens... I fell into the rabbit hole! After collecting many lovely pens, cutting a long story short..... I decided to stop purchasing them and start to learn to make them. I find it very therapeutic and satisfying to craft a special fountain pen. I also enjoy using them and adjusting the nibs to suit various writing styles... I am no master at tuning a nib, I can make them work for me though. I also make oblique dip pens from time to time. Materials, some of the special ones, are not that easy to find here in the UK. I have collected may samples over the last couple of years. It is one of those hobbies where you reap the rewards of your efforts, I have found. :)

Those really are gorgeous pens. Are you going to show us some of the dip pens too?

Thanks AMK, I have not made dipping pens, recently... This picture has a few, as well as some other fountain pens I have made. Not a particularly good picture, I am afraid.
