Pen With Rust

I recently bought a hero 901 on ebay, but when it arrived I found rust in the lining of the nib. What should I do?

I imagine that the "gold" plating has just chipped off in that area. It may not affect the writing performance and you could always just replace the nib-- most Chinese pens take a #5 or #6. Unfortunately it would likely cost more to return it to the vendor than the pen is worth.

Go to your ebay account and load the page of that buy (My orders, View Order Details, Contact Seller, "I have a question about using my item or I want to send the seller a message").

Describe the problem (politely) and ask him if he has a solution. You can tell him that you are disappointed.

If it is a good seller, he will replace the pen or offer you a (partial) refund.

Returning the pen is no option, the seller knows this. Your only pressure tool is the feedback. If you give a bad feedback, the seller sees the effect in his sales. The seller knows this too and mostly they fear a bad feedback. Don't mention it to the seller, however. Keep it on a friendly basis and you usually get what you want.

Thank you for the advice everyone. I've sent a message to the seller and waiting on his response.

I've messaged the sender and he said he will send a replacement. Hopefully he will pull through. Is there a deadline on eBay for leaving feedback?
