8 New Diamine 150Th Anniversary Ink Colors Coming Soon:

In a few weeks time Diamine are adding 8 new 150th Anniversary colors to their range:

• 8 New 150^th Anniversary colors - Blood Orange, Purple Dream, Dark Forest, Lilac Night, Tudor Blue, Espresso, Golden Honey & Burgundy Royale
• All 16 Anniversary Inks will be made available in standard short European cartridges packs of 20

Some of those names sound really interesting -- I hope the inks live up to my expectations.

I just realized that for sheer number of different colors (bottles and samples) I have more Diamine inks than even Noodler's inks....

OK well I just got the go ahead. So these are quick swabs of the 8 colours: (I had to colour adjust Lilac Night) These are in a Tomoe River thicker paper notebook.

Thank you for sharing, Chrissy! Espresso looks suspiciously like a shimmering ink. It could be sheen though.

 

For me:

 

Yes: Golden Honey, Purple Dream, Tudor Blue.

Maybe: Lilac Night.

Maybe not: Espresso, Burgundy Royale, Dark Forest.

Nope: Blood Orange.

Espresso is as it says on the tin. Like Espresso coffee. It may be a little light in my swab image. It's dark brown.

 

I wanted to show there was a difference between Purple Dream and Lilac Night and I hope I did. In fact I still think Lilac Night is a bit more lilac than blue. It is the most difficult one for Photoshop to get right. (Think lilac blue)

 

Blood Orange is lovely

 

(As far as all of these inks go, think wet flow.... )

Rather not: Purple Dream, Tudor Blue, Lilac Night.

Welll, I expected different colors than the ones I see. I guess I'll try them anyway but they don't look thrilling. SUrprisingly the only ink that catches my attention is Dark Forest. I expected it would be dark green but it looks like some dark teal. Oh well, at least there's some inky fun ahead of us.
