Heads up to fellow FPN members...Pilot Iroshizuku ink in 50ml bottles is selling for $15-18. USD in US Amazon store with free 2 day shipping for Prime Members. Contrast this with the usual circa $28. USD at most other online and brick & mortar stores in US. The ink is being directly shipped from Amazon US warehouses. No word of how long these discounted prices will be in effect.

I've been keeping an eye on the Amazon listings. Already snatched 3 bottles for $15-16.

Now, I'm just watching for others on my list to cycle through.

On Amazon.ca, they've got bottles for <$10 USD with free shipping. Great deal, but only if you can wait two months

Wow, thanks for the tip. I just ordered three 50ml bottles for US$28.64 total. Expected arrival June 13-26.

I ordered the 3, 3 bottle sets throughout time at Amazon for like $20. I figured it was a good and cheaper way to try a good portion of the Iro line and not be stuck with too much color I don't like.

I think there's a summer, spring, and fall themed set (or so they call them). I wonder why there isn't a 4th set as I know you can get all the colors in the tiny bottles.

There may be a problem. I purchased three inks from Amazon.ca seller Arusogelo. I just looked at their ratings and it is NOT good. I will wait for the expected arrival date and then file for a refund with Amazon. (It never occurred to me to check the seller's rating as I have never had a problem with Amazon)

Would definitely avoid this Canadian seller. OP recommendation was for Amazon USA.

The good news is they're fairly easy to spot.

Sadly, you're right. I had to file a claim because seller never shipped them, even after 2 weeks Thankfully, I wasn't charged for them, and Amazon responded quickly. I didn't think to check the seller ratings, probably because I've never had an issue with their third-party sellers before. Lesson learned! Sorry about that!

I only buy my iroshizuku on amazon. sorry US retailers, but a 40% markdown once shipping is included just is too much. At least I still support goulet with my big purchases (they've gotten well over a thousand bucks from me by now)

I only have kon peki, yama budo, and kiri same. Really wish I hadn't bought the kiri same, it's not a very good grey (far colder than I was expecting, too lightly saturated in all but the wettest pens to be clearly legible.)

With my 3 bottles of iroshizuku, I love the bottle design and think kon peki and yama budo are the only real winners in that bunch. Everything else is just so outclassed by most of the sailor jentle options, and most of the other blues are matched by monteverde and diamine.

I've never had issue with my dozens of ink purchases on amazon. Some of the Sailors I ordered from japan took 3 or 4 weeks to arrive, but everything's been well packaged and works properly.

God only knows why my bottle of parker quink blue black came from japan though (highly recommend that color, it's a fantastic blue black that's damned near free)

The J. Herbin 1670's are also DRASTICALLY cheaper on amazon. This paycheck my gift to myself will be completing my 1670 collection with caroube and ocean.

Diamine shimmertastics tend to be much cheaper on amazon, but can be hit or miss as to who has any. And shipping is usually free, but sans-prime, and both enchanted forest and firestorm were shipped from germany, taking about a week.

I only order ink from the traditional retailers if I'm ordering something else, like a pen, or if it's a rare or exclusive thing (my 4.5 of baystate blue, my bottle of liberty's elysium, my bottles of rohrer and klinger, robert oster, and platinum citrus black) or is simply not on amazon with free shipping. If I have to pay for shipping, I'll shop anderson, jet, or goulet (usually goulet, I'm a huge fan of their service and attention to detail)

I will say that some of the best inks around, sailor jentles, are all on amazon for next to nothing. Same quantity as pilot, retarded bottle (comes with a little inversion cone that is too small to fill anything but a hooded nib, #5 or smaller, or a schaeffer snorkel), but I've found every single one of my six different jentles to all be outrageously well behaved on every single paper they touch, cheap to tomoe. And the colors are really deep, saturated, and many have sheen that no other ink does (souten sheens vivid red that is matched by a few others, but oku yama is a pomegranate red that sheens MASSIVE gold in almost every pen, Yama dori is like if you took the sparkle out of emerald of chivor, tokiwa matsu is a forest green-brown that sheens vibrant red/gold, chu shu is a wonderful steel grey with the perfect amount of saturation, and rikyu cha looks like toasted seaweed, almost black)

If anyone has any suggestions for good iroshizuku colors, I really like sheening inks, browns, sepias, greens, and deep reds. Basically anything but blacks and cold greys or harsh yellow/oranges or yellow/orange reds. None of the sample reviews I've seen of any other colors really jump out at me, and I have plenty of blues.

I have all the Iroshizukus in my cart just watching for price variations. The only one I've purchased so far is the yama budo which I absolutely LOVE in my Pilot CH 912 with the FA nib. Sadly...I think a FP obsession also means an ink obsession!

Honestly, the thing I like most about pens is ink. Pens are just a varied method of delivering my favorite part, ink.

Get kon-peki. Gorgeous, vibrant blue that has dramatic red sheen. After that, I really don't know what is good.

I ordered a bunch spot "those" at that price, 2 months later still waiting. No replies from seller, ended up filing a claim to get my money back. I believe there are some bogus sellers on amazon phishing for personal info. Beware!
