The Swan Lizard Pattern Thread

Recommended Posts

The lizard pattern came on the Leverless pens. The material is wrapped into a tube. The caps are prone to splitting along the pattern, so avoid posting the cap.

The pen with the unusual XXXX band has the material wrapped the opposite direction as all my other examples. Maybe to decrease risk of splits?

These models have a metal disc with a swan inset in the top of the cap concealing the screw.

Colors seen are:

87 Blue lizard

88 Green lizard

89 Red or magenta lizard

90 Silver lizard

L212 is the "smaller" model with two narrow bands. This is a full sized pen.

L312 is the larger model with two narrow bands

The example shown in red with the wide band is marked L410/89. So the #4 pens are the same size and the #3.

Larger sizes exist per standard pen books.

These are stunning - real jewel colours, are these a later piston fill variant on the snake pattern lever filler that I posted in my thread?

Greenie,

PLEASE send me one of your Red Lizards or one of your Green Lizards for closer inspection!

I promise to return it...in fifteen or twenty years....

Stunning pens!

Best,

Daniel

Since there have been some other posts about lizard pattern Swan leverless pens, I am posting my other two pens on this older thread

There are both marked!

L445/90 silver

L445/87 blue

Both have #4 nibs

Those are lovely!  I so like that the lizard patten is smaller than on many other pens that use a similar design.
