Diamine Ancient Copper

I LOVE this ink, but have noted that it gets progressively drier in my TWSBI 580-AL pens (fine and medium), as well as my Century 3776 (medium). Next I will try it in my Edison Collier 1.1 Stub. I've read that the crud is from a special characteristic of the ink - but I've never seen it on any of my pens. There is something magic about this ink between the color and amount/type of shading. I will forgive a lot for it.

I will be picking up a TWSBI Vac700R pretty soon, and this may have to be my first ink in that pen. OR Navajo Turquoise, OR California Teal, it will depend on my mood when I take the pen out of the box!

Recently discovered this ink thanks to FPN and am now really enjoying it, particularly in stub or cursive italics!

The color of Diamine Ancient Copper is to me a lovely color, and I have been enjoying it for a couple of years now.

As a data point: I just came across a Lamy Studio that I left in a drawer about 6 months ago full of Ancient Copper, and which apparently does not seal particularly well. While the converter was still about one third full, the nib and feed were crusted and clogged. It was not pretty.

Fortunately, some soaking and flushing with water seems to have returned the pen to top form.

Perhaps a warning to me about leaving inked pens that don't seal well too long unattended... :-)
