Jetpens

FOUR X FOUR

Recommended Posts

I was just looking at JetPens website and I was very impressed with the wealth of information that they share. However, I've never purchased from them. Can any one share their experience with JetPens? If their customer service is as good their guides and resources, I'll be doing a lot of shopping with them.

Thanx, everybody

I bought a mechanical drawing pencil from them, and also an italic pen. Excellent experience with these purchases.

I've placed several orders with JetPens the past few months, including a return of an item that didn't quite meet my expectations, and I've experienced prompt shipping and good service.

It's been over half a decade since I bought anything from Jetpens, but my experiences have only been positive.

I have experienced no problems with the service from Jetpens. However, their prices range from somewhat-high to outrageously-high. They do have free domestic U.S. shipping on orders over $25 though, so that may help.

They are excellent in their customer service & the most expedient delivery of ANY online retailer I have used. I placed an order Friday afternoon, April 21 & have received notification it will be delivered this morning,April 24,( 2,000+ miles,) obvious priority mailing @ no extra charge because the order was in excess of $25.00. I haven't found their prices to be higher than other retailers but I have paid $20.00 shipping for an order that was more than $90.00 from another dealer, perhaps their individual prices were lower, but the bottom line usually balances out, when you compare shipping as well.

They have some things I just don't find other places & usually there is no way to compare those prices. They have accommodated special requests for my orders & also for orders sent as gifts. I shop from a variety of online sellers, because of the merits of each; Jet Pens does what they do VERY well & I think you might enjoy trying them.

I've never had a problem with them. That being said, I only purchased from them once, due to being unable to get the pens that I wanted elsewhere. Also, at that time, I was only purchasing "cheap stuff". Mainly stuff like Dr. Grip, erasers, etc. This was way before I was into Fountain Pens. At that time, I liked Alpha Grips as I mainly used pencil.

I have to say though, their prices aren't really cheap. I can get them locally in HK for much cheaper (or Japan). But if you live in the States or somewhere else, I suppose it's hard to acquire Japanese pens/pencils.

What are you planning on purchasing from them?

Outstanding service for myself and my wife on many occasions. They do ship out very quickly.

They can have some high prices but as mentioned, I've found that they carry some items that I can't find anywhere else.

If they have what you want at the price that you want, I would not hesitate.

Jetpens is great, I've only had positive experiences. Items are well packed, and shipping is very prompt. Also, if you subscribe to their newsletter, they often have promos where you get a gift with any purchase over a certain amount.

I've bought from them a couple of times, easy purchase, quick shipping, interesting products.

I'm debating between Goulet and JetPens. Jetpens have free shipping, but they also don't have the large bottles of monteverde ink. BUT, they have the chibi2 and the pilot petit1, soooo,,,, i dont know.

I am the tarot reading, bookworm, whiskey drinking, witchcraft practicing, old fashioned writing, aunt Beasty in my family and I love it. Tarot readings for sale or trade, especially ink as I've lost all of my pen stuff from a bad burglary last year. And I need penpals! Anyone interested, please PM me!

I'm a huge fan of both Goulet Pens and Jet Pens. In the past it was more true than it is now—that when I was in the market for something in particular, one of them would have what I wanted and the other wouldn't. And so choosing one over the other in a given transaction was usually easy. Yet even though there's more overlap than before, there are more areas of difference than overlap.

If you haven't done this already, spend quite a bit of time browsing both sites wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling, so to speak, and do it when you're not in the market to buy anything. Take especial notice of the merchandise differences between the two sites rather than the overlap. There are enough differences in the merchandise they offer, and not just their stocks of pens and inks and paper products, that you should be able to do plenty of business with each.

I love the smell of fountain pen ink in the morning.

I've done a little shopping with them and, yep, if they have what you want at a price you're happy with, there's no reason not to buy from them. They provide good service and, like you say, great info, even on some pretty obscure (in the US) products.

Yeah, my experience has been positive through several orders. Never had to make a return or refund, so I can't speak to their CS.

I've ordered from them many times, with never a glitch, and with very rapid shipping. I tend to order things from them that aren't available elsewhere. Along with my other frrequent vendors (Vanness, Anderson, Goulet, and La Couronne du Comte) they are a blessing to the fountain pen community. Very highly recommended!

Ditto. Great experiences with both companies. It boils down to what mix of products you are looking to order.
