Hello and welcome to FPN, from Cape Town, South Africa.

To sit at one's table on a sunny morning, with four clear hours of uninterruptible security, plenty of nice white paper, and a [fountain] pen - that is true happiness!

Welcome !

Seems you like the bigger pen, that has some heft to it. As do I.

Hey MalcolmH,

90% of the time it's a Pelikan M800 (my trusted steed) and my Pilot Custom 823. The rest of the time is split between 2 dozen others, most of them obviously not as expensive...

There's a MB146 en route but it will take a few more days for it to arrive.

Those are classic pens, inkohesive. I have a couple of Pelikan M400's, but am on the lookout for an 800 at the right price. Probably in black? :D

I find the MB146, to be the perfect size, for me, and the Meisterstuck to be one of the all-time classic pens. Let us know how you get on with yours.

I hope you continue to enjoy your pens, and the Fountain Pen Network, for many years to come.

Yes they are, Malcolm,

I have a Pelikan M200 but find it a bit too small for my taste, never tried a M600 but the M800 is a perfect fit for me, length and girth wise. My 146 should arrive on Thursday, I played with it a bit at a MB boutique and loved it.

Thanks a lot for the warm welcome!

So you've been hanging out by the door for a year? I usually keep my head down and my hands in my pockets when I walk in, so I didn't notice you. Anyway, glad you've joined us and welcome aboard.

I love the smell of fountain pen ink in the morning.
