Inherited Parker 21

Hello everyone,

This is the pen I'm using today. It's a very special pen for me, because it belonged to my grandfather.

It has an aerometric filler system and works perfectly. The only shortcoming is that the iridium point is extremely worn out. The consequences of many years of handwriting.

I have a black "21" Super with a stainless steel cap which I bought from someone in Spain. That one belonged to his father, and also had many years of use. The tipping on the extra-fine point isn't worn, although the nib's tines near the point have a bit of an "S"-shaped ripple.

The point/nib is good. No cause for worry. If it writes good do nothing. Enjoy your grandpa's pen.

You must draw a line in the sand and I chose 3 because fractions are not allowed.

I like worn (but still usable) nib on a vintage/used pen.

Parker 21 was a popular pen in Spain years ago. They were fine writers.

The nib is extremely polished, so it is a very smooth writer. Of course I'm enjoying it.

It was a popular pen years ago and the were built to last.

May be the nib tines are misaligned. The scratchines would probably go away when these are re-aligned.

By the way it is a Super 21 and not a 21.
