Kwz Azure #4

Love this one from Konrad! Apologies for the somewhat blurry pics - I'm using the native FPN upload instead of Flickr, so I've had to reduce the quality/size. I'll keep fiddling around to find better quality...

Yes the KWZ Azures are all very good.

Question: When you say the Usagiya Setouchi Marine Blue color shifts over time, is this on the paper or in the bottle?

On paper (though more on certain papers than others). I was surprised to notice as I went through my ink log (which is on Graphilo) that Setouchi had gotten noticeably greener over time. It's also noticeable on Tomoe River, but less so.

Thanks, that's a very interesting, and unexpected, result, especially from Sailor.

Does it ghost? Ghosting is when some component of the ink seeps through the other side over time - it is not the same as bleed through - it happens after the ink is dry and it is only part of the ink. Ghosting was a problem in the early days of the first KWZI blues. (Even with Ghosting, KWZI Blue #4 is one of my favorite colors).

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

I've been using Azure #2. Such a gorgeous color!

But it was hard to choose from the Azures, they're all so pretty. #4 looks lovely. But, yeah, loves me the #2.

I'm a #4 junkie. Ghosting depends on your paper. Tomoe, Whitelines & Paperblanks seem pretty happy with it.

Yes! #2 is such a subtle, beautiful blue.

I can't speak to Whitelines and Paperblanks, but that's been my experience with TR as well.

What a great ink! I find it dries on the nib faster than some other inks however. I find this of KWZ inks in general, but I still plan on expanding my KWZ collections.
