It looks great and you are right, it has character.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

i have the set that graced my grandfather's desk, a fountain pen that looks just like yours with a 14k nib and a ballpoint on a solid black stone base. the label on the bottom says it's a J15/5700. my earliest pen-related memory is watching him write ledger entries for the business with the fountain pen in green ink.
