Wing Sung 698 Piston-Filler

I just received a black Wing Sung 698. Looks elegant. Cap wiggles a little when I post it. That's OK.

Cannot get the piston to move. Has anyone else seen this? Any fix, other than soaking it piston-knob down?

The pen isn't designed to post. Don't do it, the end is the only stress point, the chrome ring near the piston knob is threaded onto the plastic and is the only place I could forsee a failure.

I wish it posted like an M200, then it would be the best pen under $200 money could buy, IMO.

The directions on the pen are in chinese, but they say to pull on the knob before you turn it, it's kinda hinted at with the arrows on the knob. This way you can't accidentally unscrew the piston and lets them build it to slightly less precise tolerances while still being stable and reliable.

Thanks, Honeybadgers. I would never have guessed. I pulled out the plunger-knob and the piston worked perfectly. It locked down when the chamber was full.

The pen wrote perfectly first time. Nice medium steel nib from Bobby at office_supplies_pen. If I was not already addicted to the Parker 51, I might be happy writing just with the Wing Sung 601 and 698.

There's a 14k nib version that uses a standard #5 nib. It's about an F, and is about as soft as a pilot SF.

That one's worth every penny too, at around $50.
