A Big Batch Of Free Inks!

Recommended Posts

My cousin sent me a large batch of bottles of ink, as he has switched entirely to cartridges. My ink shelves were bulging as it was, so I added a few bottles I wasn't using or had never opened – and it is ready to ship to the first person who says they want it. The eighteen bottles are all in good shape, some are unopened, some are partially used, most are mostly full. They include Waterman's, Noodler's (several bottles), Parkers, Montblanc (2), Delta, Monteverde, maybe one or two others.

Free to the first person who asks!

These inks are yours, so you can pass them on as you wish - and you are already being extremely generous by giving them away. But please consider breaking up the collection so that as many FPN members can benefit as possible. (Not me, BTW - I have plenty of inks, thank you!)

If I'm lucky enough to be the recipient, it was actually my intention to take a few and pass the rest on as Tom is doing.

The free ink is spoken for! (I don't want to deal with making and mailing separate packages, so it's going as one batch.) Pentode says he'll be offering it up after taking out what he wants, so maybe this could become something that passes on to a couple people.

Thank you both--plus Tom's cousin--for your generosity! Interested to see what ink samples might come of this!

I look forward to seeing what you get.

I do, too!

USPS tracking claims the box reached the local post office today at 5:49AM. That means it will be delivered either today or tomorrow, depending upon whether or not they get it on the truck in time for today's run.

Given the local post office's track record for timely deliveries, I'll say I'm about 40% optimistic about seeing that box today.

GOOD NEWS: The package was delivered late this morning.

BAD NEWS: There's ink everywhere. Fortunately, Tom was wise and placed all the contents inside zip-lock bags, so only very little ink soaked through the box. Unfortunately, at least two bottles have leaked. I'll have to wait until I'm home and can unpack the box near a sink before I'll know the extent of the damage.

Fingers crossed! Hopefully it was just two loose caps....

Oh, my lord.... darn, darn DARN. I thought I had checked each of the caps, but clearly I did not. My apologies, and I hope that after you clean up the mess there are still some good usable inks.

No use crying over spilled ink.

I'm sure most of it will be fine. If this is the worst thing that happens to me this week it's still a pretty good week.

We'll see how it all fared once it's hosed off.

Remember, Mr. Pentode, it's you and me until the wheels fall off.

I hadn't realized how Pavlovian the words "free ink" could be!

We await with bated breath!

Two bottles sacrificed themselves to save the others. I took my hat off and gave them a moment of silence.

I've already cleaned up the mess and selected a few that I like. I'll be boxing up the rest and offering it up later in the week.

When I do, I will start a new thread as Tom did originally as I feel that's the most fair way to do it. Hopefully, the next recipient will keep the chain going until the ink is gone!

Next time you have such a generous offer, run it through the PIFs please.

As you (should) know, we don't allow trading, even free, in the regular forums.
