How easy was the ink to clean out of your pens? Any staining?

It's been two months since this wonderful review was posted. What does the color look like now that it has cured some??

There is almost no difference; I scanned the pages twice just to make sure I hadn't confused things & used the originals for both. If anything, the sample with the TWSBI M on TR actually looks slightly pinker. I do live in a very dry environment, so I'm not sure if a more humid area might result in more changes over time.

I had a quick look at the other Classic ink samples I did & I'm not seeing much change on those either. I don't know if I'll have time to scan them today, but I'll try to get them done soon.

Thank you for the extensive review. This is my third Platinum (IG) ink. The original one, the Blue/Black I used regularly for a couple of years. There was very colour shift during oxydation with this ink. Similarly I have found the same attribute (or lack of it) in the new Lavender/Black & recently in Cassis/Black.

That said, all three Platinum inks have good water resistance & are keepers.

Thanks so much for the update! This is great news.

I've found Platinum Blue-black to be the perfect waterproof ink that behaves better than the "bulletproof" and IG registrar inks. The blue-black hasn't changed after a couple months of use, so it's good to know that these new Platinum IG inks have the same quality. It looks like Cassis Black is going to be my one burgundy to rule them all.

I'm glad you like it! If you want the more burgundy color, definitely use a wetter pen.

My bottle arrived yesterday and some ink quickly found its way into a wet-writing Hero 5028 1.1 stub. Wow! This ink instantly made it onto my list of top ten inks. At first I was skeptical because it looks so clear and pink in the pen, but the color transformation is really dramatic and fun to watch.

 

Thanks again for this excellent review that alerted me to this ink.

I had been pondering whether to buy this ink for a few years- it was hard to get a sample where I lived, and I forgot about it while I was in England. I picked up a full bottle on a whim a few days ago, and it's brilliant with the right pen/paper combo. Some reviews made it look like a muted pink, which I didn't desire. Like in this review, the deep dark tones and high contrast areas look lovely. As truthpil mentions, the colour shift over the first couple of minutes is dramatic and impressive.

 

Edit: I've tried it in two wet pens, on three ivory papers. (I only use white for testing inks or sketching)
