This is a very interesting ink, very "vintage" looking. It does need a wet pen.

Check my quick review... https://www.fountainpennetwork.com/forum/topic/309740-robert-oster-signature-inks-part-2/

Sometimes copper can look pinkish, so I can see where the name can come from.

Thanks for the lovely review... :)

Your review is why I tried it! :) I liked it in the flex pen, but in other pens it seemed kind of flat. If I'm using a pink/red in that range, I already have some bottles to use up. I did get a bottle of Australian Opal Mauve & I like it a lot. Edited by julia239

I opened the thread expecting to see something resembling copper. I'm sure copper can sometimes be pinkish but that's probably not people's first thought. Aside from a badly chosen name the color is interesting. It reminds me of a slightly chalky montblanc burgundy red.

Oooooohhh.. I am waiting for my Opal Mauve to arrive...

Needless to say, copper can have any number of appearances according to the state of brightness, weathering, whatever. In my experience, I thought this ink looked as much like copper as anything else. Sort of like a moderately faded penny.

Thank you for the great review. I tried this one and really liked it. It is different and grows on you after a while.

It's an unusual colour, quite different from Diamine Ancient Copper (unless my monitor is way off!). This one looks more on the dusky red side of the spectrum. So much so that it looks like it's heading toward Noodler's BSAR.

Oooo that's it! that's what this colour reminds me of! (it's been niggling the back of my mind)
