Lamy Design 72 (Lamy 26P & 126)

Dear all,

 

And here I go with my last post today. I got this set a while ago, and I know it is a known pen (and pencil). Somehow, I feel as it is a bit underrated one. I understand that it was probably a student pen, but it feels good in hand, it writes well, and the size is “standard” (meaning not small as for children).

 

What do you think?

I just caught one from local flea market today. Two tiny steel nubs for the cap's lock missing. Hope it is still useable without those.

The 26P was a very nicely designed pen and you can see how sits in the path of development between the LAMY 27n and the LAMY 2000. I wonder if they ever made the 26P with a gold nib?
