Lamy 27M; Rot / B

Dear all,

 

Some time ago, I got back couple of my LAMY 27 pens - polished / restored. It always takes me long time before I take pictures, but ...

here is the new addition to my collection: LAMY_27m_rot_/_B

 

 

This is probably the older version (m) of the 27 model, as you can see - it has a “blind cap” which you must unscrew to fill the pen with ink.

Congratulations on what appears to be a fine restoration!

 

Yes, definitely a 27m, with the blind cap. I like those more, because they're slightly thicker and easier to wield in larger hands. Same great piston filler mechanism and spring loaded clip.

 

By the way, it's wonderful how LAMY makes a point of carrying over design elements from the past. Notice the up-close photos of the 27 nib.

 

 

And then look at a closeup of the LAMY Studio and Dialog nibs. See that capsule/ellipse line around the nib slit?

You are absolutely right!

Yet, LAMY celebrated their 50^th (!?!) anniversary last year as if nothing else before 1966 existed.
