Nuteral,

that's a cool looking mod on the Jinhao x750!

Here are three options:

1. Pick up a copy of Eleanor Winters' book, "Mastering Copperplate Calligraphy."

2. Follow the tutorials in the Flourish Forum created by Salman Khattak, a moderator here on FPN:

http://theflourishforum.com/forum/index.php?board=45.0

3. Install the free e-book by Dr. Joseph Vitolo on an iPad, and print out the Vitolo PDF handout as well:

You are going to have to learn to hold your pen differently to get the nib in alignment with the desired slant angle, for the downstroke.

Look at page 7

Look at Plate 1 and 2

You need to look CAREFULLY as the pictures are not clear.

The text description is helpful in understanding the pictures.

This is grip why a lot of people use an oblique dip pen holder. It makes aligning the nib a LOT easier than the grip required for a straight holder/fountain pen.
