Diamine Poppy Red

Manufacturers since 1864, Diamine Inks relocated to this purpose built 'state of the art' factory in Liverpool in 1925, where they successfully carried on using the traditional methods and formulas for ink production. Over the years the company has changed hands and are now located close to the world famous Aintree Race Course

Poppy Red is a bright, saturated and vibrant red ink. It's not as strongly saturated as Wild Strawberry but it definitely pops out of a page. The flow is good but not excellent. There's some shadingh potential. Not the best red in Diamine line but worth attention nevertheless.

Thanks for the review, Vis. That's a pretty bright red! Reminds me a little bit of KWZ Cherry, which is a very well behaved ink in my experience. The Diamine Poppy Red looks pretty awesome in that ink splash!

Thanks for your review. Aptly named (the color pops on my monitor), this may not be a color for correspondence but, depending on its performance on paper, would be perfect for markup (correcting errors) or perhaps illustration. I'm not familiar with 'Wild Strawberry' so that may be a better choice for these applications.
