What's Your Most Recent Addition To The Flock In 2017?

Just added a M600 which now joins it older M805 brother. The M600 is a fine, the M805 is a medium.

Nice choice. We get so wrapped up in special editions that the classic green is often overlooked. It's the most iconic Pelikan, enjoy!

Hi All,

2017 has been a good year for the flock! A number of new additions but my favorite is a 1929 first year Pelikan Pen with a jade Bakelite barrel in superb condition. So simple and elegant (IMHO) and writes like a dream.

Hi Dominic

Thank you! I am new to the forum and not sure how to post photos. I will figure it out in the next few days and will post the pictures.

Dominic

Hope this works properly! I am posting the photos taken of the 1929 Pelikan Pen.

The medium nib has incredible flex.post-134307-0-06304400-1493217976_thumb.jpgpost-134307-0-94232000-1493218012_thumb.jpg

No, I got it for a few years and it looks like new. As it wasn't used.

But of course the cork isn't sealing anymore.

And I did not open the pen. What is the advantage for a working 1929 pen which will not be used.

So it has the original cork and that's much better than a new working one.

I was advised to keep water in my cork sealed Pelikans by a dealer so I try and do that. I use all of my pens so I need to keep the seals working.

I see you live in Nuremberg, a very beautiful place!

I completely forgot to drop this item here when making another post about it:

I keep wanting to call it a P25, but they didn't have the letters in place until it left the roster. It's a fun little pen. Alas, it may well be the ONLY new bird in my sanctuary for 2017.

Ravensmarch Pens & Books
It's mainly pens, just now....

Oh, good heavens. He's got a blog now, too.

Here is another addition to the flock in 2017. It is a 1939 Pelikan 101N Lizard with an EF nib. Please excuse the poor photography.

This has been in the box for a short time but today I got it out and inked it up to try out the OBBB nib it came with. Oh my! Very fun. Pelikan 400 Black Striated early version (no engraving on cap ring) with a wonderful later logo OBBB. The knob is marked B so yes, this is a different nib than it left the factory with. I do not mind, I have another that is "correct". I'll keep this one too because it is "fun" :D Yes, temporary distraction from modern birds...

Beautiful! 😍

It is also my current goal of collecting those four M101N pens (and any future ones they release), as well as every nib size in each color (rhodium and gold). But if I may ask, you mentioned waiting on one more? Which one would that be?

Pelikan M101N Bright Red. Now waiting for another M101N pen to complete the series.

Beautiful!

And I saw the auction in which you won the one that will complete the series... Jubilee? That one is stunning! Please, post some pictures when it arrives.

Congrats!

As for me, last week I added a Chronoswiss. It's now inked with MB Irish green (currently using the M nib): great combo.

M300 green stripe suppose to arrive tomorrow.

Like a treasure stolen from a mysterious miniature world, it's everything wonderful about FPs, writ small. I only wish they came in the other colors as well - imagine a brown-striped one!
