What's Your Most Recent Addition To The Flock In 2017?

One of my most recently aquired pens, already shown in another thread - vintage Pelikan 400.

I coveted those green stripes for years. Yes, this is the classic green version, although as seen in the photo, it's slightly discolored and a bit greyish. The original more vividly green color is visible in the part of the barrel closest to the nib, which is hidden when the pen is capped, so I guess the pen had too much sun over the years?
The pen unfortunately has a quite significantly chipped feeder (that is, there is only one fin under the nib which isn't harmed) however despite that it works flawlessly.
Anyhow, I absolutely love this classic design, for me this was sort of a grail pen for a quite long time and I'm very pleased finally have one.

Most recent addition is a Pelikan 140 EF off eBay, at a decent price. I seem (so far) to have lucked out and it doesn't need to be restored. Has a bit of flex but the colors (understandably) are a bit muted. I'll have to get a really dry ink (Diamine Registrar's BB is going to be inked next) to tame it, and maybe I can get a bottle of one of the Pelikan 4001 inks at the Philly Pen Show.

A capless 400NN tortoise. I bought this to replace the barrel on one of my 400NN tortoise the binde on whose has started crumbling and coming off. The pen has a broken feed and a dented nib. Perhapse somebody used pliers on the nib unit to disasseble it but failed. And in the process broke the feed and dented the nib in the middle. I hope I would be able to at least salvage the nib. The section, barrel and the piston are in good shape.

Holy cow, y'all must have been on the 'extra nice" list!

Tom, I'm not big on M800 size pens, but you pic of the renaissance brown is one of the best I have seen and has given me pause.

Thanks, BillH.

We got lucky, the seller offered to change the boring monotone 14k nib on the M760, for a bicolor 18k OM without any extra charges. The nib writes marvelously.

Doc: it is more like we're all misbehaving at the end of the year!

These three: Cafe Mocha with a 14K Binderized Stub, Renaissance Brown 800, and a Tortoise Brown 250

Wow, that Tortoise M250 is lovely (the others too, of course)!! Congrats.

One M400 White tortoise in F landed under the tree.... :) It is beautiful and writes great straight out of the box (inked with Aquamarine).

Ooh, ooh, ooh! My 140 just arrived!

OMG!!! It's beautiful! It looks brand new and I mean "brand new" as in like it was made just last week - the plastic is super shiny, as is the gold clip and nib, and the ink window is perfectly clear; it looks like it was never used. Of course, it has been - there's some tiny little dots on the inside of the window, slightly blue, obviously dried spots left from flushing and there's a ring of blue color around the edge of the piston. No matter, it's lovely and I can't wait to try it out.

It's hard work to tell which is Old Harry when everybody's got boots on.

Finally, the Ocean Swirl and the White Transparent both arrived the Saturday before Christmas. Had to wait until today to ink them up, Aquamarine and Diamine Meadow respectively. Both write very well and I look forward to putting a lot of miles on each. Well done Pelikan!

My TWSBI ECO-T just arrived.. while Im in my mother-in-law until the new year :-/ That week will take a month.

Even more the time that I’ll need to wait for my 2 first gold nib pens (2 sailors, one new 1911L and one vintage Sailor Life Time Rouge, both from Japan), just bought them on eBay some days ago.

Unfortunately, at the moment not in a working condition. The infamous plastic nib collar is literally broken in two, I'm waiting for a replacement ordered from CustomPenParts.co.uk, hope it will work.
