M800 brown tortoise for $400

That's a true mackerel for you as buyer! Unless the pen has been abused, or something's missing, at least.

Nothing is missing, but there are a few user grade scratches on the cap. Apart from that, it's in a pretty good condition. :)

Will post pictures of it when I receive it.

I also bought my first M800 Tortoise. I had stopped buying M800 pens for a long while, but I found one I could not resist today. I can't wait to get it in the mail and see one in person finally after all these years.

By the way, someone bought another M800 out from under me today too. I was on the phone with the store owner, gave all my credit card info, shipping info, etc. I was all set. Got a call back 5 minutes later and someone had bought the pen off eBay while I was on the phone with the store owner. EBAY did not send him an update so he did not know. Oh well. It worked out for me in the end, but I thought it was funny. If it was someone reading this post, congratulations. You best me to it. :)

Recently picked up an M800 Blue Ocean for a great deal. It sits next to my M800 Green Demonstrator. I'm waiting for more photos to roll in before I pull the trigger on the new M805 Ocean Swirl.

Yesterday, at the Ohio Pen Show, I got a 400nn tortoise, with an oblique medium, from Rick Propas. You can imagine how fine it is, coming from Propas. It's my fourth Propas pen. Each has been superb.

I too, picked up a Pelikan from Rick Propas at the Ohio show, a 100n from the early 1940's as I understand. Poor phone photo:

Very handsome. I have a similar pen that I bought from a seller in Germany. The piston knob is flat, but smooth, and it is marked "EXPORT" on the barrel. I presume that it must be from late 1930s or 40s.

Great find. Does it write nicely?

Thanks! Piston is smooth and it writes a nice fine line. I'm looking forward to trying it with some different inks.

I was worried that I missed this pen, that was my favorite color. But luckily I found it on italian fountain pen shop. Pen is Pelikan m205 Duo, in shiny green. I love neon green and demonstrators. But I had to get this with BB nib and I don't like it. I know it, because I like EF or smaller. So now I need to find new nib, that I can actually use and write with.
