What's Your Most Recent Addition To The Flock In 2017?

My latest Pelikan is a really rare pen, a 101N white gold double. It has some scratches but nearly 80 years old we've all some wrinkles. ;-)

Wow, what a beautiful pen. Great choice. What nib does it have?

Very nice, thanks for the picture! I love group photos.

Someone is going to mention you need an M1000 just to fill out all the sizes

It will surprise you, in a great way of course. Intimidating at first, but after awhile it grows on you. Just don't try to park it in one of those "compact" spots...

A prewar, 101n tortoise

Something that has been on my lust list for a very long time. Not a pristine example by any means (a pristine example I could not afford) but this one is a beauty to behold and I am very happy to have it in the flock.

That's a really nice looking pen, codfish. Thank you for sharing.

Here's my flock...I added the M800 Blue, but then realized I had spent over 2000 EUR on pens in a single month. Questions like "are we going to have pens instead of babies?" have been coming from my otherwise also fountain pen loving significant other, so I have downsized the flock by 2 of them. The M1000 and the M800 brown tortoise is no longer with me. But I did manage to take a snap of the flock at its' peak.

Congratulations. Looks pristine to me. I'm missing this pen to match with M101N tortoise.

DrCodfish, very nice, congrats!

You guys keep showing these 100 and 101 pens and I may have to look for a couple more myself B)

The clip is brassed on the end and the ink window is dark. The pen body otherwise is in very good condition. The nib is very expressive and according to the seller (thank you Christof!) is somewhat rare or at least unusual; it has a notation of 'S' where one would normally find the width designation.

Sounds like a stenography nib (usually marked ST)?

Perhaps, but I don't think so, just a a small plain 'S'. then again, I don't run very deep in this stuff. This nib is closer to a paint brush than a Steno pen. I will try to get a pic of it this weekend, but will be out of town for a week after that so could be a while. Better light would also show the cap and binde colors to their best advantage, it is a very pretty pen.

Maybe it's a schreiben-spitze mittel nib from the early Pelikan nib chart: https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/thepelikansperch.com/2015/09/27/pelikan-nib-developments/amp/

Two days ago I ordered a dark blue Pelikan M605. It was paid for within 5 minutes, but it hasn't shipped yet. It has an EF nib, though I can't prove it. I will prove it to you when I can...if I can. Annoying don't you think? My pen, the one I promptly paid for, is only three states away. So far it might as well be on the far side of the moon.

I once had a pen come from Serbia 3 days sooner than a pen purchased the same day from Texas... no stars for you son (mutters "all hat no cattle" under his breath)

This isn't a recent purchase but it did just return home from a trip to Torelli's Rehab Spa... :D
