Flexible Stub Fs3 Nib Sheaffer Snorkel

Recommended Posts

I had been trying to add a flex nib and a stub nib Snorkel to my collection, and I managed to kill two birds with one stone.

I was not aware that these were even made (honestly it's just so impractical), and from what I can tell, they are pretty uncommon. If anyone else has more insight on that, please post below.

Please ignore the poor handwriting - I've never used a stub nor a flex nib before, so I'm definitely not doing it justice.

I saw a couple of posts about flexible stub Snorkels here while researching a bit, but would be interested in seeing any that other people may have.

You have nothing to apologise for in regards to your handwriting; it is pleasant & legible. I am sure using an unfamiliar nib takes a bit of adjustment. If you decide your pen is TOO impractical I am sure many of us would trade our "needle nosed" Snorkles with you! I recently was able to begin using a very nice flexible nibbed pen & I find the beauty is that it is a "normal nib" when desired & NOT when you want it to be. Enjoy your pen & thanks for sharing it with us.

That looks like a really nice nib -- I'd love to try it out. I'll bet it could do good service around holiday time (cards etc.). Also interesting to see again the correlation between flexibility and the lack of a (stamped? engraved?) line between palladium and gold.
